A 6.4 magnitude earthquake which rumbled off the coast of Vancouver Island was felt in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
The quake hit around 12:41 p.m., near Campbell River, at a depth of 25.9 kilometres.
In Maple Ridge, the tremor shook an office tower in the downtown core, while realtor Scott Leaf tweeted the quake made light fixtures sway.
Rebecca Vaughan tweeted she felt her desk wobbly at city hall in Pitt Meadows.
No tsunami warning has been issued but the U.S. Geological Survey said to expect aftershocks.
It’s the second earthquake felt in the area in the past month.
On Aug. 12, a 3.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Golden Ears Provincial Park.
