It was a great turnout on a warm sunny day as the Easter Bunny reappeared at the Historic Park on June 5.

Community members, young and old, from Fort St. James took part in the many festivities offered throughout the day.

The Historic Park opened its doors for the season on June 1 and what a way to begin the season.

Along with a free pancake and sausage breakfast, there were Easter egg hunts, vendors and various games for children including sack races, tug of war and a three legged race.

The petting zoo included a visit with the new baby dwarf goats and the giant Flemish rabbits.

And for those feeling crafty, there was bonnet making and egg decorating available also.

An air soft rifle competition added much excitement to the day but the highlight for most was of course the world famous chicken racing that had many cheer on their favorite feathery friends.
