Sooke Fire Rescue firefighters pulled out an elderly woman on a stretcher near a ravine on Nordin Road on Tuesday morning.
Sooke Fire Chief Kenn Mount said the woman was walking her dog when she lost her footing and fell down the steep embankment and into the ravine. Mount added her dog, who was uninjured, stood by her side until emergency crews arrived.
She was conscious and rushed to hospital with unknown injuries.
