Enderby detour in effect Monday

Construction along Salmon Arm Drive results in route changes

  • Dec. 9, 2017 12:00 a.m.

The City of Enderby will be detouring traffic on Knight Avenue west of Sicamous Street as well as Salmon Arm Drive from Cliffview Drive to Knight Avenue.

The closure will be in place from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for approximately two weeks, beginning Monday.

During this time, access will be provided during the closure for local residents living inside the closed area, emergency vehicles, and service vehicles.

All thru traffic should detour via Cliffview Drive.

Access will be provided to the MV Beattie School parking lot. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout.

This closure is being done to ensure that there is a safe working environment for the contractor who is constructing the retaining wall along Salmon Arm Drive. It will also help to reduce wait times for those residents who are accessing their properties within the closed area.

For further information, please contact the contractor’s superintendent, Brian Bosch, at Mountain Side Earthworks, 250-833-2477.

The City of Enderby thanks residents for their patience and cooperation.
