  • Apr. 14, 2013 7:00 p.m.

Enderby area residents will have a chance to hear from those wanting to represent them in Victoria.

The Enderby Chamber of Commerce will hold an all-candidates forum for the Shuswap constituency April 30 at the Enderby Seniors Complex.

“This is a great opportunity to learn about the candidates and their platforms, encouraging the public to make an informed decision when voting in the May 14 election,” said Corinne Peard, general manager.

“We want our residents to have a chance to bring forward the issues of Enderby and Area F to the candidate who, after the election, will be representing our interests.”

The candidates are Tom Birch (B.C. Conservative), Greg Kyllo (Liberal), Steve Gunner (NDP) and Chris George (Green).

During the forum, each candidate will be given the opportunity to make an opening statement.

After this, the audience may submit questions on paper to any or all candidates, which the moderator will ask.  Following the question period, each candidate will issue a closing statement.

Questions can be submitted prior to the forum and dropped off at the chamber office, 702 Railway St. or at info@enderbychamber.com.

Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. and the forum will start at 7 p.m.
