Evacuation order rescinded for eight properties in Nk’Mip Creek area

Evacuation alert remains in place for properties in Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen has rescinded an evacuation order for eight properties in the Nk’Mip Creek area, but an evacuation alert remains in place. (RDOS map)

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen has rescinded its evacuation order for eight properties within the Nk’Mip Creek area of Electoral Area A.

The order was rescinded late in the afternoon of July 27, 2021

However, because of the continued threat of fire, the regional district has included the properties in Schedule 1 of an evacuation alert.

An evacuation alert means residents should be prepared to evacuate their properties immediately. While residents will be given as much advance notice as possible, they may have limited notice because of the changing conditions.
