  • Apr. 22, 2012 5:00 p.m.

Support for North Okanagan children is hitting the airwaves.

Sun FM’s annual Have a Heart raidothon runs Thursday with funds going towards an incubator for the women’s and children’s department at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

“Sun FM is committed to helping children in the North Okanagan, ensuring they have access to the best possible health care,” said Vicki Proulx, promotions co-ordinator.

Proulx says a new incubator will provide exceptional neonatal care.

“With its advanced technology, it works to deliver an ideal microenvironment for a newborn child by providing the appropriate temperature, humidity and oxygen levels necessary,” she said.

Betty Selin and Brian Martin will be broadcasting from the Village Green Centre from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.  while April Lyn will be on location at Walmart from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.

To donate on Thursday, drop by the Village Green Centre or Walmart or call 250-549-1057

You can also make a donation to the radiothon online at www.thesunonline.ca.
