Everyone Rides program in Parksville Qualicum Beach needs more bikes

Since it began in 2012, the FRA has given out over 60 bikes though the program

The Everyone Rides Program at the Family Resource Association (FRA) is so popular there is a wait list and that’s why the non-profit is asking for help.

The program is a free bicycle redistribution service available to the people in the district. The FRA accepts bikes of all sizes (in good working order) at its Qualicum Beach location and PASS/Woodwinds students tune them up. The Regional District of Nanaimo has provided a grant to buy bike parts where needed and the bikes are then redistributed to those that need them.

The FRA serves families, youth and children in a number of ways.

Since it began in 2012 the FRA has given out over 60 bikes. There is now a wait list of about 30 people who could use a bike.

If people have a bike to donate or need a bike, contact Donna Jager, Youth Services Coordinator at FRA, at 250-752-6766, ex. 119. For more on the FRA visit www.d69fra.org.
