The South Cariboo Farmers’ Market will be open for business in front of the 100 Mile Community Hall on Birch Avenue in 100 Mile House on May 6.
The day will kick off at 8:30 a.m., activities include free beef-on-a-bun and coffee, and a wide variety of vendors’ wares will beoffered. It is shaping up to be a great opening celebration.
The live music starting at 11 a.m. features Peter Thorne of Thorne Studios/Slapback Music Productions in 108 Mile Ranch.
The market is a wonderful outdoor community gathering for friends and neighbours to meet once a week and enjoy buying local produce and crafts, as well as enjoy a coffee, have some lunch, buy some flowers and talk with some very knowledgeable people about the Cariboo growing season.
The market runs Fridays, 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., in front and on both sides of the community hall (at the Third Street corner), May through September.
Thorne is handling the music lineup this year, so if any entertainers would like to perform during the market season, call 250-791-5614 for more information.
