Ferry Island trail upgrades will begin today (May 31) and certain portions of the trail will remain closed to public for two weeks until the work is completed.
Funded by the Northern Development Initiative Trust, the upgrade project will address sections of the trail that are in poor condition due to erosion on the south end of Ferry Island.
“The work will increase accessibility and allow users a better experience year-round—that means less mud and muck,” read a City of Terrace social media post.
Residents are urged to obey signage and barriers that are in place. More updates will be provided as the work progresses.
