MoHo makes its return to Parksville Qualicum Beach to wrap up its Christmas food and toy drive

After a successful sweep through the Nanaimo area, Big Boy’s Toys’ MoHo is back in Parksville Qualicum Beach to wrap up its Christmas food and toy drive.

The Nanoose Bay retailer’s motorhome was at the Tigh-Na-Mara Toy Drive yesterday and will be at the Qualicum Beach Quality Foods today (Nov. 28) and tomorrow with BBQ hotdogs, campfire s’mores and refreshments.

“It’s going good — the MoHo is lagging, that’s always good,” said organizer Larry Polnick.

He said it looks like they are doing as well as previous years but they won’t weigh it until they are done. The effort has collected over 50,000 pounds of food for local food banks over the last five years.

The Moho will be back in Parksville at Quality Foods Sunday and Monday, and at RBC Dec. 5-6.

Donations of food or cash will be also be accepted at participating Royal Banks, Quality Food stores and Big Boy’s Toys.
