Major support has taken flight for Vernon’s Allan Brooks Nature Centre.
Finning Canada has confirmed a three-year sponsorship for the centre.
“Finning Canada is pleased to partner with the Allan Brooks Nature Centre by supporting science-based education programs to help inspire young minds and build awareness and respect for our natural environment,” said Scott Wakefield, Finning branch manager in Vernon.
Finning’s sponsorship provides the ABNC with operational funding support to deliver youth and family-focused nature educational programs, which during the past year, involved a record 2,865 children on site and more than 12,000 off-site at events throughout the region.
“It is tremendous for us to receive the support of Finning Canada,” said Aaron Deans, ABNC executive director.
“The alignment of our organizations reaffirms the relevance and value of building community and increasing public interest and appreciation of nature and keeping it in our future.”
