A small barn fire was reported on a Dixon Road farm in Abbotsford on Friday afternoon.
Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service and the Abbotsford Police rushed out to the scene, just off No. 4 Road, but found little smoke.
However, there was a clear odour of burning in the area.
Reports indicate that some methane gas, from the farm’s manure pit, ignited and quickly burned itself out.
Fire crews ensured that the area was safe and that the minor blaze did cause any major damage.
