Daffodil Tea
The Clinton Seniors’ Association Annual Daffodil Tea on March 9 was a great success. Strawberry shortcake was enjoyed by all, and the cut and potted daffodils sold out quickly. The bake table was also popular. At the end of the day everything was sold out.
The entire event was a great chance to socialize and enjoy the company of others. A portion of the funds raised goes to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Fire Department open house
The open house at the Clinton Fire Department was very well attended on March 12. Members were on hand to explain apparatus, equipment, etc. to interested visitors.
Photos of past major fires in the Village, parades, Canada Day celebrations, and more were on display.
Attendees were treated to refreshments, including a cake to mark the occasion. This was also a time to honour retiring firefighter and former Chief Robin Fennell, who is hanging up his hat after serving 30 years in the department.
Thank you for your service to the community, Robin, and enjoy your gift from the department: a weekend at Echo Valley Guest Ranch.
