Fire destroys trailer on Lakeshore Road

Three Alberni Valley fire departments responded to a structure fire at the 10000 block of Lakeshore Road.

No one was injured but a trailer burned to the ground in a structure fire on Lakeshore Road on Friday (Oct. 2).

“There’s a double wide trailer and it was fully involved when we got here,” said Sproat Lake Volunteer Department deputy Chief Rick Geddes of the fire which triggered an automatic aid response. The fire was called by a neighbour at 4:33 p.m. and six Sproat Lake trucks, one from the Port Alberni Fire Department and one from Beaver Creek responded.

“Nobody was home at the time,” said Geddes “No injuries.”
