A fire in Crofton claimed two homes late on Saturday morning.

A fire in Crofton claimed two homes late on Saturday morning.

Volunteer firefighters from four different halls — Crofton, Chemainus, Maple Bay and South End — were called to the blaze on Adelaide Street.

The two houses that were destroyed by the flames were set back from the road down long driveways.

The owners of one home were believed to be out of town at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported as of Saturday afternoon.
