A family of four is homeless this week after a fire broke out on Saturday morning in Gitanmaax, completely destroying the residence. Fortunately, no one was injured as the two boys and father had recently left the house to go to a hockey game at the Skeena Ice Arena. While the mother had stayed home, friends say she noticed the smoke and was able to get outside but the fire then spread quickly and neighbours said the house was completely gutted in what seemed liked minutes. It was reported that two of the family’s pet cats did not survive. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Rail Jame brings out the best in local snow talent
