Fire on Beaver Lake road doused by crews; being mopped up

After sparking up Tuesday afternoon, crews from Lake Country responded and the fire under control

A fire that burned on Beaver Lake Road Tuesday afternoon is now under control and being mopped up.

B.C Wildfire crews are mopping up a fire that sparked up Tuesday afternoon on Beaver Lake Road.

The Lake Country Fire Department responded to the blaze as well as the BC Wildfire Service to what was described as a large grass fire.

According to the District of Lake Country the mutual aid response to this fire just outside of Lake Country’s boundaries was successful and the BC Forrest Wildfire Service crew is now in mop up stage of the fire.

Lake Country Fire Department crews have demobilized from the scene.
