The parents of the first Langley baby born in 2014 chose her name more than seven years before she was born.
Sunny and Jasmine Sandher had been seeing each other for about six months when the topic of children’s names came up.
Both agreed if they ever had a girl, they would name her Nile, like the river that runs through Egypt.
They liked how it sounded, Sunny Sandher recalls.
So when the Langley couple’s child arrived at 12:55 a.m. on New Year’s Day at Langley Memorial Hospital, that decision had already been made.
Nile Kaur was actually a little late getting here.
Her due date was the 23rd of December, and there was even some concern that she might arrive early.
Both mother and child are doing well and went home Thursday.
