The approval process for a proposed rifle range in rural Lumby has started.
The Electoral Area Advisory Committee has given first readings to a bylaw that would allow for a rifle range at 1021 Trinity Valley Road.
A public hearing will not be held until there is RCMP input, testing to determine sound levels from firearms and the applicant holds a public information meeting.
