A rockslide that occurred this morning has caused the District of Hope to close that section of Flood Hope Road, in a section known as Richmond Hill, between Silver Creek and downtown Hope.
District crews have temporarily routed traffic around the slide, onto a section of pavement beside the roadway.
“A geotechnical engineer will be assessing the site tomorrow morning and will determine if slope stabilization is required. Traffic will remain diverted until such time the slope is deemed stable and safe,” said the District in an email.
