Investigators are looking to speak with the driver after two pedestrians sustained injuries when a large piece of plywood came out of the back of a pick up truck, striking both, and caused several injuries.
The Lake Country RCMP responded to a report of two people injured by a large piece of plywood, March 14 at 4 p.m.
“The duo were walking their dogs in the 3500 block of Woodsdale Road in Lake Country, when a newer black Ford pickup truck drove past them and a large piece of plywood dislodged from the truck striking the pair,” said Cpl. Joe Duncan, in a press release.
“A 31-year-old Lake Country woman suffered minor injuries while a 23-year-old Kelowna woman suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.”
The vehicle was described as a newer black Ford pickup however no description of the driver is available. The plywood was described as having leather and hinges attached to it.
