In the Observer’s coverage of the 2011 municipal election, the newspaper incorrectly reported that Ronald Telfer was 83 years old. He is 81.
It also said Telfer ran for the position of mayor of the District of Saanich, when in fact he ran in a by-election for a position on council. The Observer apologizes for the errors.
In the story in the Nov. 23 issue of the Observer, information that a midwifery petition was available for signing from Julie Lewis at the Salmon Arm Health Unit was conveyed in error.
