Watch out if you drive a Ford F350 truck. Police responded to a theft of vehicle complaint on Sunday, March 24, from a resident on Fourth Avenue SE. A gray 2004 Ford F350 bearing BC licence 8333FX was stolen from the driveway of a residence sometime between 10 p.m. and 5:45 a.m. There have been several thefts and attempted thefts of Ford F350 trucks in Salmon Arm recently, most likely to commit other offences such as the theft of snowmobiles and ATV units. There was a similar pattern of thefts last year that led to the arrest of several known individuals. Police are seeking the assistance of the public in the most recent thefts but are pursuing proactive enforcement tools such as the use of bait cars and targeting known offenders in the area.
