Cheryl Ashlie takes over from Ken Stewart

The Alouette River Management Society has a new president, following its annual meeting on April 12.

Former Maple Ridge city councillor and school trustee and constituency assistant Cheryl Ashlie is taking over the top spot from former MLA Ken Stewart.

Ashlie was voted in after being nominated by Stewart.

Cheryl Power will be vice-president and Doug Stanger is treasurer.

“We’re very pleased and excited that we have another dynamic president to take over from Ken Stewart, who held the position of president for four years,” said executive-director Greta Borick-Cunningham in a release.
