Forum in Abbotsford features ‘the mayor who ended homelessness’

Vibrant Abbotsford and the B.C. Poverty Coalition present a program called “The Mayor Who Ended Homelessness” on Tuesday, April 28.

The free event features Ted Clugston, the mayor of Medicine Hat, Alta., who was once opposed to the housing-first model to help his city’s homeless population but is now a convert.

The presentation runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in room B101 at University of the Fraser Valley, 33844 King Rd. in Abbotsford.

Other speakers include Jesse Wegenast from 5 and 2 Ministries and Rod Santiago from Abbotsford Community Services.
