Fresh blood will flow on advisory commissions in North Saanich.
Council opted to add youth options to its heritage and agricultural advisory commissions as well as the parks commission.
Council endorsed a youth initiative late last year, and as part of that process altered the bylaws outlining the makeup of the three groups. The amended bylaws were issued three readings last week.
Rather than seven voting members, each would allow for up to nine voting members including up to three student voting members per commission. Student members would not be used to determine quorum. Council planned to hold a special council meeting to provide final reading on Feb. 21, to allow for immediate appointment of youth.
