The South Cariboo Health Centre (SCHC) at 555 Cedar Ave. is holding a free immunization fair for children aged four to six years, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on June 8-9.
“After the kids get their kindergarten booster shot, they can participate in a fair,” says public health nurse Joy McFee.
She adds it’s something for the children and parents to do during the 15 minutes they should wait after the immunization.
The SCHC multi-purpose room will have different displays and interactions, such as the 100 Mile House Branch Library, Canlan, 100 Mile & District Minor Hockey, Cheeky Lil’ Monkeys and the 100 Mile Nordic Ski Society, says McFee.
“The children can then go outside and investigate the vehicles of the local fire department, RCMP and ambulance.”
There will be give-aways and door prizes given out, she says, adding they will include booster seats and teddy bears.
