The Town of Qualicum Beach is conducting a survey regarding allowing backyard chickens in residential areas.
The town seeks feedback from residents before council can consider rescinding its decision last March not to continue the three-year backyard chicken pilot project that ran from May 2017 to May 2020. A total of 17 permits were issued, allowing to six backyard chickens or ducks.
