Short of a month after it began, Fraser Health has declared the COVID-19 outbreak at Glenwood Care Centre in Agassiz to be over.

There are no longer any COVID-19 cases at the facility. At its peak, the total cases reached eight, according to a report from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control – five residents and three staff members. There were no deaths associated with this outbreak. This marks the second outbreak at Glenwood and the fourth overall in Agassiz care facilities.

“It is critically important for people living in the Fraser Health region to get tested as soon as you have COVID-19-like symptoms, even mild ones,” stated Fraser Health. “Please don’t wait, and book or drop by one of our collection centres which are operated in partnership with local Divisions of Family Practice.”
