Pacific Community Resources Society staff are offering clients new ways to access harm reduction supplies in the face of COVID-19.
The outreach staff are going mobile in the eastern Fraser Valley with delivery to ensure they can meet clients where they’re at and provide the supplies they need.
“People can call in their order for delivery (Boston Bar to Chilliwack) or pick it up at PCRS seven days a week,” according to a recent notice from PCRS about the supplies meant to reduce the harms of drug use.
PCRS, which runs the Chilliwack Health and Housing Centre on Hocking Avenue, provides needles and syringes, alcohol swabs, tourniquets, and other supplies, including injection and smoking kits.
“During this time of COVID-19, we are offering new ways to access your safe supplies,” according to the PCRS notice to clients. “Call in your order and we will safely deliver.”
They can call for delivery at 604-795-5994 or 604-798-1416 or come by the centre and ring the buzzer.
The health and housing centre is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week at 45921 Hocking Avenue.
“Keep your eyes open for our Bus and Outreach teams who are still out and about in the community and outlying areas,” said the PCRS notice.
