On Monday, August 7, the Comox Valley Regional District and BC Transit are teaming up to offer free fare on all routes, making it easier for transit users in the region to get to and from B.C. Day festivities in downtown Comox in a sustainable way.
Special event service will be available on most routes, including 34 C2C Express, which will pick up passengers from allstops along the route.
During the B.C. Day parade (between 9:30 a.m. and noon) in Comox, route 34 C2C Express will detour by turning on Noel Avenue, then Pritchard Road, and ending at Stewart Street and Comox Avenue.
Free B.C. Day service will also apply to routes serving Courtenay, Cumberland, Buckley Bay and Oyster River.
A Rider’s Alert with full schedule details and information about service on B.C. Day is available on board the bus and online at bctransit.com/comox-valley/schedules-and-maps/alerts
