Freezing rain fears close Mission schools

A forecast filled with calls of freezing rain have caused Mission Public Schools to close all facilities today

Concerns about freezing rain prompted school closures in Mission Friday.

The forecast is calling for the slick stuff for most of the day, and Mission Public School’s said “this will create hazardous conditions across the school district.”

Mission bus route 34 and 32 are facing some changes today.

Route 34 will not be travelling on James Street, and will head west on Seventh Avenue to Cedar Street, then south on Cedar back to the exchange. Route 32 will not be going to Superstore.

Central Valley Transit System advises users to expect delays and to dress warmly.
