The Funtastic Sports Society has initiated the next round of its annual community grants program.
The grants support non-profit organizations in the community that have special projects needing support. There is a total of $29,000 available and each grant may be awarded up to a maximum of $5,000.
“In the past four years, we have seen the annual grant investment program serve the needs of so many diverse organizations,” said Jim McEwan, executive director.
“From the Schubert Centre and the Boys and Girls Club to the Lavington Community Association and the Vernon Riding Club, so many more members of our community are able to participate in sport and recreation activities through the delivery of grants.”
The society is now accepting grant applications.

Applications for 2013 must be received by Feb. 15 and successful applicants will be announced in March.
