Under 10 homes in the 500 block of Anders Road and the commercial area on Ollala Road in West Kelowna have been evacuated, including West Kelowna Fire Rescue’s Station 32.
At approximately 1:50pm on Monday, a four to six inch gas line was cut during construction work by a private contractor.
Fortis BC is on scene to repair the damage, and West Kelowna Fire Rescue is monitoring the situation. No injuries have been reported, and it is unclear how long repairs will take.
