An Oyama business has taken to social media in an attempt to find a suspected repeat offender who tried to break into one of its satellite fruit stands.
But after posting a video of an alleged break-in on Sunday morning, the company says the same thief was back again on Tuesday.
Gatzke Orchards posted a video of a thief attempting to break into a safe at one of its fruit stands located just south of Beaver Lake Road.
EXTRA: Theft from unlocked cars a major problem
The first attempt was on Sunday morning and Gatzke posted a video captured by surveillance cameras to the company’s Facebook page. It received over 9,000 views by Tuesday, but it doesn’t appear that the publicity reached the thief.
Orchard owner Allan Gatzke produced pictures of the thief and taped them to the safe at the fruit stand and on Tuesday morning the thief was back and took down the pictures that were posted of him before leaving.
Gatzke also reported the theft to police and says there is information that may point to the suspected thief living in Winfield, close to the fruit stand.
