Concerns over possible concussion after collision in South Surrey

A 12-year-old girl was airlifted to B.C. Children’s Hospital last night after a collision near Sunnyside Park.

According to Surrey RCMP, the child was a passenger in a black BMW driving eastbound on 24 Avenue before attempting to do a left-hand turn to go north on 156 Street when the vehicle collided with a white Subaru SUV.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Though there was no visible injuries to the girl, an air ambulance to BC Children’s Hospital was called as a precaution due to concerns of a possible concussion.

No other injuries were reported.
