A traffic calming study is being conducted in the lower Glenrosa neighbourhood for a portion roughly located between McIver and Webber Roads.
The District of West Kelowna is seeking input from residents to assist in developing an action plan for the area.
The municipality’s engineering department encourages residents to attend an open house to learn the nature of the study, provide feedback and ask questions.
West Kelowna staff will be in attendance as well as the traffic consultant hired to assist in the development of the plan.
The open house takes place Wednesday, May 28 at the Glenrosa Elementary gymnasium, 3430 Webber Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. and a presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m.
An online survey will be conducted from May 29 to June 6 at districtofwestkelowna.ca under Events and Meetings. The survey will help in identifying potential traffic calming locations and needs for the lower Glenrosa neighbourhood.
Information collected during the open house and through the online survey will be used to aid in the development of a draft Glenrosa traffic calming plan. Recommendations will be presented to residents for further feedback during a second open house in the fall.
The plan will then be presented to mayor and council for input and direction.
