The two cases involving Break and Enters at Avalanche Safety Solutions and the Park Inn Motel are still ongoing. The Golden RCMP are actively pursuing all possible leads pertaining to the crimes.
“We are currently still looking into both crimes separately. We do have some potential leads, but nothing we can disclose at this time,” Golden RCMP, Sgt. Durant said.
Golden RCMP have received assistance in handling both cases from a Forensic Identification Unit.
“The Forensic Identification Unit from Revelestoke has been here in order to assist us with finger prints and footprints. These guys are essentially Canada’s version of C.S.I.,” Sgt. Durant added.
Avalanche Safety Solutions has proactively installed an alarm system. The company is also keeping a close eye on online websites that cater to the buying and selling of avalanche safety gear.
For now, the cases may be on a brief hiatus, but are certainly not being forgotten. The cases are pending as the RCMP continue with their investigations.
