The Golden Skybridge will be offering a sneak peak for locals for Canada’s highest suspension bridge, with a special locals’ preview day on Sunday, May 30 and Monday, May 31.
The offer is only available to residents of Golden, Field and Area A, with proof of residency required.
The bridge will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on the locals’ days.
Those looking to partake will have to purchase a Skybridge Insiders Pass, which provides unlimited access all summer long to the newly constructed suspension bridge, costing $34 for adults and $17 for kids. Children 5 and under are free.
The pass is only available at the ticket office. Timed reservations won’t be required for the local sneak peak.
The bridge is set to open in early June to the general public.
The bridge is located at 503 Golden Donald Upper Rd., just two minutes from the Trans-Canada highway and five minutes from town.

The Golden Skybridge will feature a three-kilometre-long nature walk weaving throughout the Rocky Mountain Adventure Park. Viewing platforms will provide guests with further opportunity to take in the picturesque landscapes.
Visitors will be able to walk 426 feet above the canyon floor, with 360 panoramic views of the Columbia Valley.
“The Columbia Valley is one of those remarkable places that is uniquely positioned to provide a stunning, yet accessible mountain experience,” says David Barry, Pursuit president.
“Whether you’re staying in Golden or making it a stop along your journey between Alberta and British Columbia, the Golden Skybridge will soon become an iconic experience for Canadian and international visitors alike.”
The Skybridge is just the start, with a 1,500 foot zipline being planned to open later this summer as well, along with other amenities, such as a bungee swing and other adventure-activities.
An outdoor courtyard and cafe at the experience base will provide the perfect pre-and post-stop rest along the mountain journey.
