Weather outlook: The rain continues this morning and slow down through fog patches early on. The temp should climb to 11 C, with rain cutting back to showers here and there this evening.

Overnight, a fire broke out in an old house on Abbott around midnight last night. No one was home at the time. The fire was contained to a back deck and part of the roof and firefighters quickly had it out. But examining for hidden extension of the fire, sawdust was found as the insulating material for the old house. Investigators will be on scene today to assess where and why the fire started.

Sentencing for a drunk driver who paralyzed a dad with four kids, has been delayed. The judge is concerned with the length of jail time requested by Crown—12 to 18 months with 60 days served consecutively for fleeing a previous crash which led to this one down the road.
