The man walked into the North Surrey corner store, began screaming, and grabbed a jug of milk and went outside, pouring the milk onto himself.
Police were called to the 13100-block 104 Avenue store on Thursday, March 28.
The man, who police say was on drugs, said he’d been pepper-sprayed.
Ambulance crews arrived to treat the man, and discovered he’d been shot in the leg.
He was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Surrey RCMP are asking that anyone who may have seen the man heading towards the convenience store to contact them at 604-599-0502, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
