Grand Forks Hotel fire suspect remanded into custody for psychiatric evaluation

Christopher James Cusack, 47,was remanded into custody for a 30-day psychiatric evaluation on March 20 at the court in Grand Forks.

Cusack was charged with two counts of arson, which endangered human life, in relation to two hotel fires in Grand Forks, B.C. on March 7.

The early morning fires destroyed the Grand Forks Hotel and damaged the Winnipeg Hotel.

He will appear in court via video in Rossland on April 12 at 9:30 a.m.
