Grand Forks Hotel fire suspect remanded into custody for psychiatric evaluation

Christopher Cusack, the man charged with arson relating to the Grand Forks and Winnipeg hotel fires, will have a psychiatric evaluation.

Christopher Cusack, who is accused of arson relating to the Grand Forks and Winnipeg hotel fires, will receive a 30-day psychiatric evaluation.

Christopher James Cusack, 47,was remanded into custody for a 30-day psychiatric evaluation on March 20 at the court in Grand Forks.

Cusack was charged with two counts of arson, which endangered human life, in relation to two hotel fires in Grand Forks, B.C. on March 7.

The early morning fires destroyed the Grand Forks Hotel and damaged the Winnipeg Hotel.

He will appear in court via video in Rossland on April 12 at 9:30 a.m.
