Green Party candidate Donovan Cavers stopped by the office of the Star/Journal on his way to the Barriere All Candidates Forum on Wednesday, Apr. 20. A firm believer in cutting down on the carbon footprint he leaves behind Cavers has attended all of the All Candidates Forums in the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo Riding by using his bicycle for transportation from Kamloops; except for the forum in 100 Mile, to which he travelled by Greyhound. He has also challenged the other candidates to keep track of their own carbon footprint during the campaign, promising to support anyone who can have a better carbon footprint than himself during the campaign. “I ‘m a firm believer in leading by example,” said Cavers, “As a politician you have to practice what you preach.”
