Greyhound closes, moves pickup to PetroCan

The change is unrelated to route changes, according to officials.

Greyhound service in Grand Forks has been significantly altered as of last week, with freight service has been halted and the company will no longer offer in-person ticket sales.

According to a notice issued by Greyhound Canada last week and posted on the door of the depot, the Greyhound agency across from James Donaldson Park closed effective Friday.

The passenger pick-up and drop-off will now be done from the PetroCan station, on 16th Street and Central Avenue.

There will be no in-person ticket sales or freight shipping and receiving “in the interim,” though the notice does not give a timeline for when or if those services may resume.

According to a statement provided to the Gazette by Greyhound Canada, these changes are not related to the service reductions and eliminations announced last winter, which became effective May 31.

Tickets can be found online at greyhound.ca, or passenger information by calling 1-800-661-8747.
