Grow-op found south of Little Fort

Search turns up 150 pot plants at residence on Highway 5

 

Clearwater RCMP report that on Friday, Aug. 9, members of the detachment and the Clearwater Central Interior Traffic Services (CITS) section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant on a residence on Highway 5 south of Little Fort.

As a result of that search, 150 marijuana plants were seized as well as a small quantity of dried bud.

An adult female was arrested at the residence, taken into custody and transported to the Clearwater Detachment. The female will be charged with Production of a Controlled Substance contrary to Section 7(1) of the CDSA. She will appear in Clearwater Provincial Court in the fall. The matter is still under investigation.
