A man carrying a pellet gun prompted a heavy police presence along Dallas Road on Sunday afternoon.
Victoria police arrived around 5 p.m. after a witness reported seeing a man walking through the bushes in the area of the Harrison Yacht Pond with what appeared to be a rifle.
Police cordoned off and evacuated the area. Moments later, a man walked out of the bushes to inquire about the police presence
The man then admitted to hiding a pellet rifle in the bushes and received a stern warning from VicPD officers.
Police confiscated the pellet gun until their investigation is complete.
