Guns, drugs, cash seized in Kelowna house raid

Search warrant carried out at house in 1200-block of Clifton Road last Wednesday.

Cash, drugs and a sawed-off shotgun.

That’s what was discovered by the Kelowna RCMP Street Enforcement Unit  when they executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Clifton Road on Wednesday, Nov. 18.

The SEU contingent was assisted in the house search by the South East District Emergency Response Team.

The search warrant turned up the following list of items:

Loaded sawed-off shotgun

Loaded sawed-off .22 cal rifle (stolen from a vehicle)

2 1/2 oz Methamphetamine

1/2 oz Cocaine

1/2 oz Heroin

$2,500 cash

Stolen identification from seven individuals

Identification from ten other individuals

Five people were arrested however three were released without charges.

A 29-year-old man from Kelowna faces charges of unauthorized possession of prohibited firearm and possession of cntrolled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

A 34-year-old man from Kelowna also faces unauthorized possession of prohibited firearm and possession of controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking as well as a potential of numerous other charges.
