SURREY — The Surrey RCMP seized a large quantity of drugs and weapons during a raid on a house in Newton.
The search warrant was executed Wednesday, in the 13500-block of 87B Avenue.
Police said they seized 280 grams of methamphetamine, 210 grams of heroin, a loaded handgun, two replica guns, an extendable baton, bear spray, handcuffs and body armor.
“The number of street level doses in this seizure amounted to nearly 5,000,†Cpl. Scotty Schumann said. “Charges are now being prepared for all the evidence seized.â€
A 49-year-old man and several other people were found in the house. Their names have not been released.
