Gunshots heard along Huntingdon Road

Abbotsford Police received multiple calls about gunshots being heard in the 33000 block of Huntingdon Road on Sunday night.

Abbotsford Police received multiple calls about gunshots being heard in the 33000 block of Huntingdon Road on Sunday night.Almost a dozen officers from the patrol division, the Municipal Integrated Emergency Response Team and the K9 unit were called to the scene. They blocked off part of the road, and cordoned off the house.Two men and two women were arrested at the scene and taken into custody. Three were released, after police determined the fourth person was to blame.Const. Ian MacDonald said the 19-year-old man had taken a rifle and a shotgun into the backyard of the home and fired them into the air. He now faces a charge of careless use of a firearm. His name has not been released.
